It all starts with our PTO Directory. After you sign-up you are able to receive all of our school news, volunteer for events and donate.

How we support you:

The Ruffin Ridley Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is a 501c3 non-profit organization currently run by volunteer FRR moms with the support of innumerable parent/guardian and community volunteers.

The mission of the FRR PTO is to build community, enrich our students' education, and support students and families experiencing gaps in opportunity. You can learn more below. We collaborate closely with but are independent from the Public Schools of Brookline.

What to expect:

  • PTO newsletter: We send a newsletter each Sunday evening that contains school- and PTO-related updates, events, and announcements.

  • Volunteer opportunities: There are so many ways to get involved! If you can spare only a few hours or have more time to contribute, we can find a role that fits your interests, skills, and available time.

  • PTO-run events: Stay tuned for information about our community-building events that will take place throughout the year. Check out the events page on our website.

Join the PTO Board

  • FRR PTO is looking for your help in continuing a tradition of community building. We are looking for a new Treasurer.

  • We need your help to keep the FRR PTO values going strong, whether you enjoy meeting new people, building connections or prefer to be in the background and support - there's always a place for you here.

  • Email pto@ruffinridleypto.org, pull one of aside at the playground or look us up in the Directory to find out how you can get more involved.

Did you know?

PTO Officers are all unpaid parent volunteers. Are you able to volunteer a few hours for an event, become a class parent, or help fundraise? We can only do this work with the help of other volunteers. We hope you can find some time to dedicate to FRR so that the PTO can continue to add value for students and the community.
